Jeremy was a skeleton, and Megan was a girl. One of them dwelt in a deep, dark hole with worms and bugs, and the other lived in a house with her kindly mother. The girl was a spirited explorer, and everything beyond her front door was a new frontier to conquer. Though their worlds were very different from one another, the distance between them was far smaller than either the skeleton or the girl could possibly have expected.
