Loki: Chaos

“Damn Asgard!” snarled Loki. With an angry heave of his shoulders he shrugged off the doubt beginning to gnaw at the edges of his resolve. Coward, he thought, how could he even contemplate turning back now? Accused of attempting to murder the AllFather, Loki flees the golden halls of Asgard for the treacherous Realm of Midgard a chaotic Realm steeped in darkness and superstition with no native magic. Inhabited by a backward race of beings called "The Folk," Midgard during the "Dark Ages" offers far more perils than the cocky, ex-god bargained for. Denied the gift of Aesir longevity and separated from his magic, the former "God of Mischief" must survive by his wits alone, negotiating the perils of being suddenly human in an alien Realm. As if battling demons (many of them his own) dragons and the plauge isn't enough, Asgard's Dark Prince discovers a prophecy that overshadows his life in the form of a curse that threatens to destroy everything (and everyone) he will ever love. Doomed by Fate to always play the part of the villian, can "The Trickster" learn to survive without his magic while striving to protect the people and the unpredictable Realm he is beginning to call "home"?
