Billy and Elaine are forced to move from the city into a century’s old country house the family has owned for generations. Little do they know that the house has a gateway to other worlds, a gateway defended by seven ghosts. Neither is happy with their parent’s choice. When they arrive the remodeling isn’t complete and the house is cold since the heating and cooling system hasn’t been installed. Worse, the house has been haunted for generations and a witch lives across the street. Billy inherits the Book of Glyphs, a book of prophecy, from his grandfather and encounters one ghost after another; all determined to control and mold him to their liking. His sister, Elaine, inherits the Sun Stone. Both contain magic and both draw them into conflict with the Darkness that dominates the Sundered Worlds. They are the Children of Man which the prophecy states must overcome the Darkness. But first, they must learn how to use their inheritance to survive the witch who craves the magic they possess. They are children and many parents seem possessed by the witch. How can they possibly overcome a mature witch with all the power she possesses? But they must.
