When you’re little, it’s cute when you talk to people who aren’t there. When you get older, it’s not so cute. When I was little, my mom thought it was adorable that I talked to my shadow. He’s not my shadow though, but a person inside my head who talks to me all the time. He warns me when my family or I are in danger. He’s my friend. As I got older, Mom didn’t think it was cute anymore. She thinks I’m crazy, that’s why I’m here in this hospital. I’m stuck here, but Shadow just told me something that I can’t ignore. I have to break out of here…now.
