The Mannin house demon: The ultimate evil

Detective Lester looked round the crime scene and sighed he remembered the three strange deaths twelve months ago. Now this a small boy mauled by some kind of animal inside the old house. He watched as the boy’s body was carried out of the house in a black body bag the front door had been kicked open by one of his officers. Being the only detective in mayo was a fine job as there wasn’t much crime until all this shit had happened. He had heard the stories of course of Mannin house and how two people had been killed in the basement but that was pure made up bullshit. No one had died in the basement there was no basement but these four deaths troubled him. Was the old house cursed he didn’t believe in ghosts or demons. ========== He rubbed his hands together and put the collar of his coat up. It had taken him a long time to get here, and he hoped he wasn’t too late people were going to die he couldn’t help them all. That’s the way god worked he saved some but not others why this was only god knew that answer. Eli was god’s tool and he would once more send the demon back to its hell. He remembered the pain of the last fight, but not only the physical pain but the mental pain of seeing the young girl Judy dead. So beautiful and her whole life ahead of her and the demon had ripped that away. Eli felt a rage go through his body and he put one hand into a fist it was good to feel angry he could use that against the demon. He climbed over the metal gate careful not to fall the gate was slippery with the rain. He walked and shone his torch on the wooden fence posts but there was no fence and he walked on. The dirt track he followed curved round along a small hillside the trees swaying along the sides. He stopped as he saw the circle of hay on the ground this was where the devil worshippers had died he was sure of it. He shone his torch and saw the old house for the first time with its roof in tatters on one side. Some of the windows bricked up some boarded some only half boarded up and others open. It truly looked like a haunted house and he quickly turned off the torch. He was here and he didn’t want the demon to know that he would wait and bide his time.
