Some say those who die continue to exist, while there are others who deny the claim. What, in reality, is the truth? Kathopanishad 1/1/20 The future of entire humanity shall depend on finding authentic answer to this particular query of Nachiketa. If man is, in reality, a heap of materials and nothing of him remains after death, then the present life has no worth at all. But, if we can prove that death is not the end of life and there was life before this and will remain in some way even after death, it will be possible for the stumbling spiritual faiths of today to be firmly restored in unprecedented ways. But the problem is about proving. Some parapsychologists are definitely making the attempt to do whatever is within their means. Many details come up as findings of this quest, where references are made of travelers from a world beyond death. In ordinary language, we call them ‘ghost.’ Leaving research aside, if we talk of literature, almost all the cultures of the world have stories related to ghost. In the western languages, several collections of ghost stories are available, some of them beings entire novels. In most of them, ghosts are depicted as terrible. Ordinarily, people appear to be dreading ghosts. But, the little parapsychological research I have done has been influenced by the hypothesis on ghost-phenomenon that ghosts are not always harmful. If people are already scared of ghost, there is no point in generating further fear. Such horror might give some pleasure granted, but often only those aspects are presented, which the researcher considers bad. With difficult attempts, I have taken more help of reality in my stories, though I am not limited to that. I have prevented the realistic bias of my researcher from eclipsing my creative faculty.
