"Alex" is the long awaited sequel to "Master." It is the continuing story of Lila and Alex. Alex is a vampire from 15th century Spain, who is a bit of a sociopath with a chip on his shoulder. He saves Lila--a slave girl, from a lynching in 1861. A girl he's been obsessed with for more years than he'd like to admit. He is a man who has fallen in love for the first time and has to learn to adapt to the Americas, African American women, and love in general. He is now in L.A., struggling to make things right after a horrendous betrayal and is forced to do something he swore he'd never do again.
