About the Author
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURES marks C. Jennings Penders third book, and his second book of fiction. Mr. Penders has been writing short stories since he was ten years old, and often in the genres of dark fantasy, science fiction, and paranormal romance. His stories predominantly feature female protagonists since Mr. Penders claims he's never been able to effectively write from a male point of view, and finds the female point of view the truest voice for the kinds of stories he tells. After years of writing fiction, Mr. Penders took a hiatus from writing for a decade to pursue his love of photography. The call to write fiction daily eventually returned, and the result is this second book of stories, written over the last year and one-half since the publication of his first collection, RADNOM ACTS: STORIES OF REDEMPTION, which appeared in 2018. In 2010. Mr. Penders blogged weekly about his faith and spirituality, the ruminations of which appeared in his 2018 book TAKING OFF A COAT: RUMINATIONS ON THE INFINITE SOUL. In this volume, Mr. Penders shares his intimate insights into finding happiness and purpose in life while dealing with life-long physical challenges. In all of Mr. Penders writings, both fiction and non-fiction, he provides insights into the human spirit that inspires use to celebrate our own lives, where ever they lead us.
