Enola Simon, a powerful Grey Witch, gets amnesia after a rocket attack on her car in the mountains of North Carolina. Exhausted and broken-hearted after her previous supernatural mission, she doesn’t really want to remember her life of duty. In this backwoods romp, Enola (here called “Eve”) is befriended by big trucker Gary Cashman and his very pregnant young wife Maidy. The three are caught up in a blood feud between the people of his town, Memo, and Maidy’s family, the furtive Farrell clan of Smoke Hollow. The clan serves the Lovecraftian entity Dromghoul that visits from another dimension to suck the blood of human sacrifices the clan procures from Memo and hiking trails and campgrounds. The creature wants Maidy’s baby to incarnate itself on Earth, and has cursed Gary with blood thirst until it gets what it wants. The clan has twice tried to kill Enola because the creature fears her power, if she can remember it. They even frame her for murder. She’s the last, best hope for the Cashman family during a night of fightin’, shootin’, and walkin’ dead folks as Memo and the Farrells battle it out.
