Cole and Barbara Caruthers are not your usual married couple. Instead of pursuing money, material possessions and comfort, they have dedicated their lives to solving the ills of the world wherever they can along with their two sons. After an unexpected pregnancy involving twin girls, the Caruthers family return home to England to establish a more stable foundation. They decide to work on a project they had dreamed of for a long time which is building a safe haven for unwanted and orphaned children. The Caruthers search for a suitable place for their safe haven project leads them to the mysterious ruins of Shawcroft House. Shawcroft House was said to serve a similar purpose many years ago which was to be a home for mentally undeveloped children that parents had no means or desire to care for. Unbeknownst to the Caruthers family, Shawcroft House has a dark and sinister history that the locals prefer to keep to themselves and avoid discussing to prevent scaring visitors away and to preserve their own sanity. Will the Caruthers family be able to create a new life back in England and achieve the rebuilding of Shawcroft House as a safe haven for orphans or will the twisted history of Shawcroft House come back to repeat itself destroying any chance for the Caruthers family’s success and happiness?
