How would you like a book that shelters you in a time when COVID19 is well within humanity's REAR VIEW MIRROR? This one does. Then it shoots you backwards into the time before COVID19 could have even been a glimmer in its genome's eye. Though this new book glances up against the coronavirus, it is rather a "light" apocalypse in genre, evolving somewhat into a darkish parable as it progresses. The characters in the Codices dance through time, place and even space as bi-locating teleporters, but are anchored firmly in the Author's forever home of Montana. Dream worlds and apparitions are any old weekday in the Codices. The book describes a virus outbreak of the aquatic kind far into the future. It traverses time in the 17th and 18th Centuries, and then in the 23rd and 25th Centuries. The protagonist's friends and family are can-do sorts, and have humorous moments in the midst of the sturm and drang. Hold on to your jeggings, The Gianna Codices, Featuring Joan the Bastard, is quite the ride.
