This book is also available in print, in both hardcover and paperback, at http://www.lulu.com/undeadlyspring/Set in the spring of 1908 in the small, peaceful city of Galesburg, Illinois, this is the story of a beautiful young girl vaudeville singer who leaves the grit and bustle of Chicago to begin a new life in a new show in a new town. What she finds instead is something very different, and before long, she is caught up in a swirl of mysterious gory deaths, new friends, and terror out in the darkness. All the ingredients are here. Feisty heroine, stalwart newspaper editor, grumpy police chief, eager cub reporter, foxy girlfriend, wise older man, ditzy best friend. There’s even a very wise dog named Woodrow. But there’s more. All are not who they seem, and at least one is faced with impossible confusion over what is good and what is evil. The book contains graphic violence and some explicit scenes which make necessary plot points. Historical events depicted are correct, and historical research was conducted to verify the existence in 1908 of such things a cigarette lighters (nope), the electric chair (yes), and Walgreens (also yes, founded by Galesburg native Charles Rudolph Walgreen). Galesburg appears as itself and is historically accurate with three literary license changes. It’s a fun read and I had fun writing it. I hope you enjoy it.Mike Morrison
