The Flood

THIS IS A SHORT STORY: A secretive government project, studying one of the most mystifying substances known to man is thrown into internal chaos when a hard-nosed military man storms in, intending to turn a profit. The project's scientific lead resists as best he can, yet all their plans go out the window when a beautiful young woman washes up on the shore of their desolate island.

About the Author

David Johnston, born in 1974, writes in his spare time, concocting wicked worlds and twisting stories for his readers to delve into. Whether it be the Epic-length of 'Bourban in York', or a quick short story like 'The Interview', or even a medium-length piece like 'To Get His Goat', readers can always expect something different, and unexpected from his work. Brian Lumley compared his work to that of Clive Barker's, and after finishing 'Bourban in York', asked immediately "What happens next?" Most of David's body of work consists of science-fiction, horror/thriller, or drama/suspense.
