The Orphanage

Helen and Carl begin a new life in rural Spain and Helen soon discovers she is pregnant. But their happiness is soon marred as Helen begins to believe she is experiencing ghostly visitations from children who are somehow connected to the old ruin behind her house. When tragedy strikes, Helen sets out on a quest to find the one person who can help her unravel the hauntings of the ruin. This leads her to Victor, a successful business man with a sadistic streak who has no recollection of his childhood. As Victor begins to remember the horrors of his past, he comes face to face with the terrifying truth about himself and the atrocities that occurred within the ruin. He recalls the extremely sinister Dr Alvaro who devised a plan of selective breeding which would lead to Victor being forced to make appalling decisions in order to survive. The Doctor’s plan will result in the death of many and the mutilation and abuse of his own daughters who eventually devise a plan to escape the his evil clutches. As Victor’s story unravels, Helen finds herself listening to a tale which is so shocking, it has been kept a closely guarded secret for years.
