The Rainbow Gate: Dare you step across the threshold?

"A formidable novelist, in command of dark romance and blighted love." - British Science Fiction Association In the fabulous world of Tevera live the Chalcenians, whose land ripples with light and laughter, and their enemies the Domendrans, whose home is dark and dank, its citizens sadly resigned to their fate. When Helen's friend Rianna re-enters her life and becomes obsessed with making eerie dolls, Helen finds herself drawn back into the strange otherworld she and Rianna knew as children, a world where beautiful, charismatic people ride through a wild landscape. Dark, disturbing events lead Helen and Rianna to pass once again through the mysterious gates to Tevera, and the terror underlying the beauty begins to unfold. The web expands, drawing in their loved ones. As they come to understand the enigmatic people of Tevera, they must confront the power of the terrifying goddess, Black Annis: and they must play a part in an age-old conflict between light and darkness; a conflict that will save or destroy our own world.
