Teenager Jake travels across America with his granny- his witch granny, in a Camper van. As they search for Jake's witch mother they are pursued by the Unit, a band of day vampires- chemically enhanced men whose only desire is to become real vampires. The Unit is led by Jake's aunt. On their journey, they pick up Manus, a martial arts one-;legged man and his niece, Kells. Later they pick up Joel, a werewolf. This is a fast-paced story, juveniles and young adults will enjoy.
