This week on Talking Wicked, I chat with the person most responsible for the visual feel of the show and The Librarian, artist Alex Murd of Murd Comics.

We talk about how Alex finds solace in art and our long collaboration on The Wicked Library, The Lift, and The Private Collector. We also do a deep dive into some of the artwork for both shows, the inspiration for the art, and talk about growing as an artist and the importance of having a creative outlet. We finish with a discussion about Alex's other work and her excellent original character, Jasper.

Cartwright and Enfield Detective Agency had shuttered its doors under what they call "mysterious circumstances". After a catastrophic destruction of their offices in Manhattan, with the Cartwright half of the equation missing and presumed dead, Frank Enfield winds up in Bellevue.

When he gets out, he’s looking for a little relaxing R&R in upstate New York, but a certain mysterious Librarian has other plans. Enfield is flung out of the frying pan and into flames of "that weird shit, from the other side of town, run by the boys in the back room," and he finds he just might have a taste for that kind of work.
