He edited the book The New Peplum and co-edited Horror Literature from Gothic to Post-Moderne. As an essayist his works have appeared in venues such as the Journal of Graphic Arts and Comics, Exotica Moderne, and books on Stranger Things, James Bond, the Twilight Zone, and others. Along with his partner Michele Brittany, he is a co-host of the HP Lovecast Podcast. He lives in Arizona with Michele and his 8 cats. He enjoys retro, tiki, pinup, mixology, and midcentury things and does play a lot of video games.

This week we have a look at the 2024 horror film WEREWOLVES.  This is Episode #453! Werewolves is a 2024 American action horror film directed and produced by Steven C. Miller. It stars Frank Grillo, Katrina Law, Ilfenesh Hadera, James Michael Cummings, and Lou Diamond Phillips. The story takes place in the night of a supermoon event that causes humans to turn into werewolves, which first occurred the preceding year, and follows the attempts to control the situation. The film was released theatrically on December 6, 2024.

Tonight we’re chatting with Richard Harland, author of the new book Ferren and the Invaders of Heaven from IFWG Publishing. This is the third book in what’s called the Ferren Trilogy, which is a fantasy series that takes on the Biblical war in heaven but featuring characters who are human, angel, and technologically advanced replacement races. It’s epic and we’re gonna talk about it. 

Richard has had nineteen books published in all the spec fic genres: fantasy, SF, horror, steampunk. His biggest international success has been his steampunk fantasy, Worldshaker, which was published by Simon & Schuster in the US and won the Prix Tam Tam du Livre Jeunesse in France.Richard’s home is now in Australia, south of Sydney, where green escarpment butts up against blue sea with a string of golden beaches. He lives with partner Aileen and Yogi the Insatiable Labrador.

It is a fictionalized account of the making of the classic vampire film Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens, directed by F. W. Murnau, during which the film crew begin to have disturbing suspicions about their lead actor.The film received positive reviews from critics and received nominations at the 73rd Academy Awards for Best Makeup and Best Supporting Actor for Dafoe's performance.

The 2024 film stars Bill Skarsgård as the titular character, Nicholas Hoult and Lily-Rose Depp as the married Hutter couple, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Ralph Ineson, Simon McBurney and Willem Dafoe in the supporting roles.
