About the Author

In 1984 C. L. Salaski was named one of the top ten writers in the Scripts Category of the Writer's Digest Magazine Writing Competition. The judge was J. Michael Straczynski who was nominated for the BAFTA Award for his screenplay for the feature film "Changeling."In July 1997, Salaski was a winner in Pure Fiction's Electronic Slush Pile, coming in at third place. The winners were chosen by Martin Fletcher, editorial director at Simon and Schuster.In the summer of 2012, Salaski interviewed Master Oil Painter Albert Handell and wrote the article Mastering Brushstrokes with Albert Handell which was featured in Issue 88 (Dec/Jan 2013) of International Artist Magazine.Cindy Salaski is the author of "Oil Painting With the Masters" which was published in July 2014 by F+W Media/North Light Books. The book features 20 of today's greatest master oil painters.Salaski also co-authored the book "Impressionist Painting for the Landscape" with George Gallo. A screenwriter, film director, producer, painter and musician, Gallo wrote and directed "Local Color", a feature film about an aspiring young artist who befriends an elderly Russian Master.
