Featured in The Bookseller's September Previews. -- Fiona Noble ― The Bookseller I think this book was great!!it was scary so it might frighten little children but it was super exiting and I loved even though it was frightening in some bits. My favorite characters are the three fake sisters. ― Toppsta This book is glorious! The pages are glossy and each one is beautifully illustrated. ― Toppsta My daughter really enjoyed this book and read it as soon as it arrived. it's got lots of illustrations so great for reluctant readers making the transition from picture to chapter books. ― Toppsta I liked it because it was fascinating and had really cool drawings. The characters were great, especially the 3 fake sisters.' Words of my 7 year old RELUCTANT reader who wouldn't put this book down and read it in one sitting! Amazing! It's a fantastic book.

About the Author

Joseph Coelho was the Waterstones Children’s Laureate 2022–2024, and is an award-winning poet, playwright and writer. In 2024 he won the Yoto Carnegie Medal for Writing for The Boy Lost in the Maze and was awarded an OBE for his services to the arts, to children’s reading and to literature. His first poetry collection, Werewolf Club Rules!, , won the CLPE Children's Poetry Award in 2015, and he has been writing and performing ever since. His picture books include If All the World Were... illustrated by Allison Colpoys and the Luna Loves...series illustrated by Fiona Lumbers. His poetry books for children include Overheard in a Tower Block illustrated by Kate Milner, A Year of Nature Poems illustrated by Kelly Louise Judd, and his novel in verse, The Girl Who Became a Tree.
